The Somerville Police Department, in partnership with the Middlesex Sheriff’s office, held a gun buyback event this past Saturday, June 25 at the Department of Public Works to help get unwanted guns out of homes.

On Thursday, June 9, 2016, I, Officer Paul Beckford, was on duty for the Somerville Police (Station Man). At approximately 12:11 AM, I heard someone yelling in the front lobby of the police station. The disturbance was coming from Ms. Bonnie Dwyer. Ms. Dwyer is well known to the department. One of our civilian employees, XXXXX informed Ms. Dwyer that she was not allowed to sleep on our public benches. Ms. Dwyer has been told not sleep on the public benches in the past, due to prior disruptions. The benches are located in the main lobby of the station.
