Obituary
Robert L. Bailot, aged 62, passed away unexpectedly on February 25th. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Mary Meck and Joseph Bailot. Robert, affectionately known as Bob, was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine Bailot (Frye) for 38 years. Together, they raised their family in Everett.
Bob was a devoted father to Robert Bailot Jr., Brandon Bailot and his wife Alyssa, and a cherished grandfather to Audrey Bailot. He was a dear brother to Joan McLaughlin, Cathy Scurio, Joseph Bailot, Tom Bailot, Deborah Trapan, and William Bailot. He is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bob worked various jobs throughout the years, including at the famous Somerville Lumber where he and Lorraine met. He loved the Red Sox and being outdoors, often recognized by the sound of his slippers shuffling on the ground with his dogs walking behind him.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.), Somerville on Thursday from 2-5, followed by a celebration of life at the Village Bar and Grill, 38 Norman St, Everett, MA.
Let me express from me and my family, the deepest condolences to Robert’s family. We go way back to the projects days. Bobby was a great friend and also his family. I don’t have enough words to express my felling about him. He will be missed at this address.
