On Wednesday June 8, 2016, I, Officer Christine Bork was patrolling marked unit East-2. At approximately 07:15 I was dispatched to 282 Somerville Ave. (Dunkin Donuts) for a report of an unknown male party who had just assaulted two individuals, East-3 Officer Khoury, East-4 Officer Moreira, and East-1 Officer Beckford responded as well.

 

While en route, we were advised that the party had fled up Stone Ave. Officer Canty, who was on a detail right in front of the Dunkin Donuts at the time of the incident, located the individual, later identified as Anthony Gullotto, in Stone Park. I asked Gullotto what had just occurred at the Dunkin Donuts, and he kept changing his story and giving evasive answers.

 

Upon speaking with Officer Canty he told me that he was informed by the manager at Dunkin Donuts that Gullotto had thrown a beverage directly at her, and another female told him that Gullotto had brandished a needle at her, and had to be pulled away by other patrons.

 

I placed Gullotto under arrest, and he was transported by Unit #200, Officer Lorenti, to Somerville PD headquarters where he was booked in the usual manner by Lt. Rymill.

 

I then conducted a follow-up at the Dunkin Donuts, where I spoke with the manager XXXXX. XXXXX stated that Gullotto had been in the female restroom for approximately thirty minutes, left the restroom, and was then confronted by another patron about leaving drug paraphernalia in the bathroom. As a female patron was exiting the restroom, Gullotto attempted to gain entry back into the restroom. XXXXX told the female, later identified as YYYYY, to shut the door. As YYYYY was shutting the door, Gullotto pushed her and brandished a needle at her in attempts to gain entry. Multiple patrons had to pull Gullotto away from YYYYY, and a fight ensued. When XXXXX told Gullotto to leave the establishment, he threw a large beverage directly at her.

 

XXXXX was able to show me video footage of the incident, which shows Gullotto getting into an altercation with patrons, and throwing the beverage directly at XXXXX’s face.

 

Gullotto will be charged with c265 s15B Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and c265 s15A Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
