Funding for Mystic River Master Plan & Aquatic Invasive Species Control Included in State FY’16 Budget

BOSTON – Senator Patricia Jehlen, Representative Denise Provost, Representative Christine Barber, and Representative Tim Toomey announced that two crucial appropriations for the Mystic River were included in the legislature’s final FY 2016 Budget. Both the $250,000 requested for the Mystic River Master Plan and the $100,000 requested for the Mystic River Aquatic Invasive Species Control were fully funded for the upcoming fiscal year.

These officers received the Irish American Police Officers Association Investigative Award for my nephew Christopher Souza’s murder. If it wasn’t for them and Somerville Police Detective Katie Mcdaid and the Middkesex District Attorney’s office, we would of never gotten justice for Christopher, what he deserved and we needed.

This past Thursday night Trum Field was the place to be with live entertainment and performances by the Somerville Sunsetters, local Disco-Funk band Booty Vortex, the USO Metropolitan New York Performers, the Boston Windjammers, and “Somerville Idol,” that set the stage for a perfect summer Fourth of July week evening.

There were over 100 fans and spectators watching the game at Trum Field. The team was coached by Stephen King as Head Coach and Cody Fitzgerald Assistant Coach.
