Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,
Billy what do you think about that community space at Gilman Sq? It was supposed to be for families/kids to hang out instead it’s for tents and trash left there from the summer, god forbid if you bring it up, everyone attacks your comment!

Billy Tauro’s response: I think it’s an absolute disgrace city leaders we’re not using their heads when they designed it and the people supporting it need to start seeking mental help!

There is a cupboard outside Somerville City Hall where donated food can be obtained.
This is called progress by progressive lol
Gilman Square lot has people living there in the tents. There are a male & female residing in the tent on the right. Another male living in the left tent. Its clear by some of the items around the area that they are acquiring things from other peoples property.
The bigger issue is where are they going the bathroom and how are they eating / cooking. A majority of such public spaces have occupancy times. This should be included in such an ordinance.
Allowing people to reside there compromises the safety and curb appeal of the area. It is time for the elected officials to act in a logical and responsible manner and address the issue.
