A taxicab crashed into an apartment building located at 1370 Broadway in Somerville early Saturday morning after the cab driver was punched by his passenger causing him to loose control of the vehicle.
Somerville Police and Fire Department rescue workers were on scene in minutes attempting the rescue of the cab driver then transporting him shortly after to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.
The passenger suspect fled on foot causing police to search the area for him.

Late Wednesday morning, a woman robbed Citizens Davis Square bank branch that’s located at 212 Elm St. in Somerville and fled the scene on foot shortly after down Bowers Avenue towards Cambridge.
FBI, State and Somerville Police are searching the area for the suspect.
The woman is described to be between 5′-5’2″ tall, weighing around 110 lbs, with dark hair, grey pants and about 40 years old.
The suspect was wearing a bicycle helmet with a baseball cap underneath. She was also carrying a backpack which she probably disposed of big due to an explosion of a diepak at the scene of the robbery.
