This morning, August 26, 2026, at approximately 5:30am, officers responded to a reported hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.

Officers located the pedestrian at the intersection of Harvard Street and Winchester Street with serious injuries. Based on the preliminary investigation, the pedestrian was walking westbound on Harvard Street and crossing Winchester Street in the crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle turning left from Harvard Street onto Winchester Street.

The vehicle was described by the victim as a dark-colored, four-door sedan. The crash is believed to have occurred at approximately 5:20am. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing. We are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the crash or the vehicle involved to contact us. We are also asking residents and businesses in the area to review any available surveillance or doorbell camera footage that may have captured the vehicle traveling on Harvard Street or Winchester Street before or after the crash.
