BOSTON (May 6, 2015)- LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston announced today that Somerville resident Henry Fortsythe-Jones, 5, earned a coveted spot on the 2015 Creative Crew.
The Creative Crew are twelve children aged 5-10 who will assist LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston Master Model Builder Ian Coffey in various tasks including building and testing new models, attending special events and being the first to test new rides and games. The Creative Crew will also serve as a “kid panel” to share tips about building models, how to get the top score on rides and other little known facts about visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston.

“I really liked the two robots Henry built,” said Ian Coffey, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder and Creative Crew Judge. “He also agrees with my philosophy- you can use LEGO to build anything!”

The contest took place via Facebook from April 2 through April 27. Over 78 entries were reviewed and judges selected 12 children that had excellent building skills, but also embodied the creativity of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston.

“We selected children who demonstrated their creativity and used their imagination while building with LEGO bricks,” said Ian Coffey. “I’m very excited to start working with the new Creative Crew and think we’re going to get some cool and innovative ideas for builds that I can’t wait to create.”

The induction of the new Creative Crew will be held at the first birthday celebration on Saturday, May 23. For a complete list of the 2015 Creative Crew, check out the announcement video, http://bit.ly/1ELP9Ob.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston is currently open Sunday-Thursday 10 am-7 pm, Friday and Saturday, 10 am-9 pm. Advance tickets are suggested to guarantee admission and can be purchased online at http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/boston
