The Union Square Farmers Market is produced by Relish Management with the sponsorship of Union Square Main Streets.

The Union Square Farmers Market welcomes a sister market at Assembly Row in June. The Assembly Farmers Market will be held on Sundays with a different grouping of vendors but similarly offering fresh, all locally produced vegetables, fruit, meat, fish and specialty foods. This market is presented by Relish Management through the sponsorship of Federal Realty.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the market this year,” says Market Manager Holly Czapski. “Visiting the market allows those of us who live in the city to build relationships directly with the people who grow our food. From the farmers you’ll be introduced to varieties of produce you’ll not see in the typical grocery store. The vendors have a wealth of knowledge of new ways to prepare their vegetables, fruit, fish and meat that they’re eager to share.”

Customers who receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) are able to make their benefits go further by visiting the market. Each week the market will match 1-to-1 up to $10 per customer per week. $10 in SNAP benefits becomes $20 worth of buying power from the Union Square Farmers Market vendors. Union Square Main Streets is directly fundraising to provide this program at the market. Those wishing to contribute can visit the campaign website which is half way towards the season’s goal. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/2015-union-square-farmers-market-snap-match
