Photos From Somerville’s International Family Equality Day

By Rosalee Zammuto

This past Sunday afternoon LGBTQ Family organizations from around the world joined together to increase the international visibility of LGBTQ families by celebrating International Family Equality Day for a fun-filled afternoon in celebration of family diversity at Seven Hills Park in Davis Square.

There was live music, arts & crafts, recreational games, and more!

A photo-booth was on location to take fun pictures with family & friends!

Folks brought blankets and enjoy a picnic in the park.

Grabbing a bite to eat from food trucks that joined the event from Tenoch Mexican and Penny Packers, and of course Scoop and Scootery for yummy ice cream!

Attendees got to meet special guests like Big Joe the Storyteller as they kicked back and dug the sweet sounds of Karen K and the Jitterbugs as well as Matt Heaton, along with DJ Professor TEA.

The theme song for Somerville IFED, Rainbow By Karen K and Mista Cookie Jar got the crowd in the mood to have a great time!
