KEVIN D JAMES Arrest

On 05/06/2015 at approximately 1632 I was on Uniformed patrol and assigned to the Somerville Police Traffic Bureau.
I observed a 2001 Acura 32CL color black, Ma. 591RL7, travelling west on Mystic Avenue, a public way within the City of Somerville. The vehicle had a safety Rejection sticker displayed on its windshield so I activated blue lights and siren stopping the vehicle on Mystic Ave at Shore drive. I approached the operator, the defendant in this matter, and requested his license and registration. The defendant handed me the registration and stated he left his license home. After stating he was the registered owner and giving me the wrong birth date I re-approached and stated the picture and information did not match. The defendant finally gave me his correct information and I queried it through leaps. The registration showed the vehicle failed its safety test on 05/04/2015. The registry also came back with information showing the defendant had a Revoked operators license and two active arrest warrants. The defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Somerville Police Station for booking. The vehicle was towed to Pats tow and Citation # R6071051 was issued to the defendant.
