Letter to the Editor:Mayor Curtatone is a Nasty Person, a Fraud and Cop Hater

Dear Billy T. at The Somerville News Weekly,

This mayor Curtatone is a nasty person. He claims not to treat people like dirt, but he does indeed treat people like dirt.

A retired Somerville Police Captain was critical of Curtatone on the internet because of the high turnover of Police Chiefs in Somerville after Curtatone removed the Chief of Police position from Civil Service(even though he was for Civil Service when he was an Alderman). Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone and His New Facebook Hobbies, Really?

By William Tauro

Instead Of Worrying About Somerville Issues, Mayor Curtatone takes the time to compare President Trump to a “Giant Inflatable Chicken.”

“We’re living in absurd times. Got to say, that giant, inflatable chicken is making more sense than the guy who shares its hairdo” are the words of our beloved Mayor as he sits in the corner office concentrating more on insulting the president than running our city.
So many other issues at hand but yet he finds time to go out of his way to post stuff like this on his very own Facebook site.

With an immature childish mentality like this, it makes you wonder where all of the fictional characters are coming from that are floating around so many fictional social media sites and cluttering the web with so many trollers on Facebook.

Recently they have been a string of attacks of local Somerville businesses by fictional Facebook characters on Facebook. Sometimes after reading something like this you begin to wonder where they are coming from.

Joe Curtatone the Nice Kid I Once Knew

By William Tauro

Long ago, during Somerville’s “darker days”, people often times referred to our city as “Slumerville” and with good reason, to be honest. There was plenty of corruption, back room deals and mafia-style tactics that seeped out of every nook and cranny in local politics and business dealings, both legal and not so much. Due to the hard work of previous administrations and the fine people who make up our community, along with a healthy real estate market, that moniker is officially dead – or is it?
