This past Saturday night hundreds attended the 2017 Ignite! Global Street Food and Fire Festival
It was an evening of international street food, dance, interactive activities—and fire!
To celebrate Union Square’s sizzling food landscape Ignite brought an evening of international eats, fire throwers, roving entertainment, and a raucous celebration of global culture, including a bhangra glow-stick dance party at the end to cap things off!
Food vendors included:Union Square Pizza, Siam Ginger, Juice Union, Gracie’s, Himalayan Kitchen, Cantina la Mexicana, Casa B, Machu Chicken, El Mineirao, Pikliz International Kitchen, One World Cuisine, Dosa n Curry, Veggie Crust and Nibble Entrepreneurs Estella & Sandra.
There was also food demos, interactive activities with the Boston Circus Guild that danced with fire!
Also on deck was: craft vendors, a mime, a magician, nose Olympics, the Fine Arts Superheroes, fortune telling and coconut bowling.
Attendees were also encouraged to bring a contribution to the festival’s first canned food drive, benefiting the Somerville Homeless Coalition.
