Judith M. (Pacini) Keating – Of Somerville, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 81 years old.
Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Frazzoini) Pacini.
Judith’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved any opportunity to bring everyone together, whether it was sitting around the table sharing a home-cooked meal, catching up on everyone’s lives, or simply enjoying each other’s company. It didn’t matter what they were doing or where they were; as long as she was surrounded by her loved ones, she was happy. Judy also enjoyed a little excitement and loved taking trips to the casino to try her luck, always hoping for a lucky win. She found enjoyment in bowling and took pride in her embroidery, creating things with care and patience. She could happily spend time working on word searches, keeping her mind busy, or tending to and admiring her flowers. Judy appreciated these simple pleasures and the little moments that made each day special. Above all, the memories she made with her family and the time she shared with those she loved were what she treasured most. Judith also loved a good cup of tea with lots of sugar.
Beloved wife of 57 years to Bernard “Bernie” Keating. Devoted mother of Michele Keating- Simons and her husband Edward. Loving sister of Richard Pacini and his wife Barbara, and the late Charles Pacini and his surviving wife Roberta. Also lovingly survived by many loving and cherished nieces and nephews.
