Somerville High Class of 1978 survived The Blizzard of 1978. We had 2 weeks off from school in our senior year that we did not have to make up…and how about that Saturday Night Fever phenomenon?
We had the best hair, listened to the best music and went out dancing to our local spots like Faces, Brothers 4, The Surrey Room, El Sids, Dapper Dans, The Palace, Lansdowne Street to name just a few when the drinking age was 18. You all know what I am talking about. We got dressed up, socialized and had fun!
Here we are 40 years later, Donna Fazio organized a meet and mingle for our Somerville High Class of 1978 and friends last Friday night at The Sons of Italy across from Trum. It was great to see everyone. Many of our classmates we have not seen since our graduation at Dilboy field over 40 years ago to the month. We reminisced, looked through our yearbooks, shared memories and made new ones. Thank you Donna Fazio for organizing a great time.
Stay tuned for another get-together again before our fortieth graduation year is over. It looks like it may be at The Dante Club with a live DJ.
