One of the biggest reasons why I don’t ask for endorsements from elected officials

By William Tauro

One of the biggest reasons why I don’t ask for endorsements from elected officials is because I do not want to owe them anything, especially a political favor of hiring any political hack’s family members or friends and other state appointed hacks! Answering the question that I was asked by the Somerville Wire on “How do you feel about rent control?”

I am not for rent control, but instead I am for making proper assessments!

Let me begin by stating that I was very disappointed that the two current Councilors Ballentine and Mbah voted to downsize the availability of low income housing from 20 percent down to 12 percent and were not called out on it. By William Tauro

I don’t want to be the one to say that I told you so, but “I told you so!”

Mayor Curtatone, his administration and my three opponents painted me as a bully to the public and also painted me as someone who doesn’t want arts in the city, but it looks like it backfired in their faces don’t you think? How To Choose The Right Somerville Mayor

Richard Scirocco

It is obvious that this will be a turning point in the social structure of this community.  What is needed is a strong willed, business savvy, common sense candidate to bring back commerce and balance to the city operations that has been evidently lacking. The same rhetoric has occurred for decades without change. The Somerville community has had too many patches and not enough completion towards the dozens of projects that eyesore the city. For the amount of money collected within the taxpayer base, citizens need better results than what they have been handed. Continue reading How To Choose The Right Somerville Mayor

Tauro, “I Will Be A Mayor For All!”

It’s extremely hard for immigrants that come here legally from other countries to live in the United States and work towards the American Dream. It’s extremely even more difficult for them to return to their native country to visit with family and to take care of elderly parents who may suffer from ailments especially when they’re over 4,600 miles away in many cases. Our system is broken, especially here in Somerville! Continue reading Tauro, “I Will Be A Mayor For All!”

Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

Hello Billy,

Thank you for taking the time to listen to me and my concerns about the city and the attempt to force a vaccine onto our youth in order for them to play or participate in activities outside of their regular school work. There is a major concern on my behalf in the latest attempt to what seems to be a violation of our rights. My child is very concerned with their ability to participate as they have voiced they do not want to be vaccinated. The voices of our youth are being stolen. Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line: Letter to Mr. Salerno

Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

Hi Billy,
I was pleased to see that you requested the voter records from Mr. Salerno. Over the years I have requested many public records from the city. Since the Clerk’s Office is the “keeper of the records”, you might want to deliver a copy to the letter to the clerks office. Be sure to have them “stamp” the document and ask for a copy of the stamped document. Under Public Records Request law, they have 10 business days to prepare the request.
