Voter Registration Deadline for Preliminary Election Approaching + Three Polling Locations Changing & Polling Place Workers Sought

Wednesday, August 25 at 8 p.m. is the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming preliminary election on September 14 to narrow the candidate fields for Mayor, Ward 5 City Councilor and Ward 7 City Councilor.

Eligible voters may either register online or by submitting a paper form. To register by mail, please call (617) 625-6600, ext. 4200 and request that the necessary form be mailed to you. Alternately, residents can download and print the form. Voters may also visit the Elections Department in City Hall to register (please note face coverings are required in all City buildings).

Three polling locations have been relocated in advance of the September 14th election. Please see updated locations below, and CLICK HERE to look up any polling location

Ward 3 Precinct 1: New Location: Properzi Manor, 13-25 Warren Ave. (Former Location: Central Library)

Ward 6 Precinct 3: New Location: West Branch Library, 40 College Ave. (Former Location: West Somerville Neighborhood School)

Ward 7 Precinct 3: New Location: VNA Assisted Living Facility, 405 Alewife Brook Parkway (Former Location: West Somerville Neighborhood School)

Polling place workers are needed for the municipal elections on September 14 and November 2, 2021. The pay is $200 per day.
