Stephen S. Murphy was a wonderful person who will be sadly missed here in Somerville.

STEPHEN’S OBITUARY
MURPHY, Stephen S. 54 – A lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away suddenly August 8, 2021.
Beloved Husband of Mary-Beth Murphy and loving father of Stephen and Alexis Murphy.
Dear son of Maureen Murphy of Somerville and the late Robert Murphy.
Cherished brother of Robert Murphy of Wakefield and his fiance Sandra Moloney, Kim Hannon of Winchester, Kristin O’Connell and her husband Jason of Somerville.
Also survived by many cousins, neices and nephews, aunts, uncles and former teammates.
Stephen attended St. Clement’s Schools, Where he excelled in Football and Baseball. His accomplishments on the athletic field are legendary. He will be remembered as on of the greatest athelets in school’s history.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Stephen, Friday morning August 20, 2021 at 10:00, in St. Clement Church, Somerville.
Relatives and friends invited.
Interment Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stephen’s memory to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
