Can my councilman tell me why every snow storm the owner of Hillside is allowed to take all the snow from thier business and pile it onto a public way? This not only creates a pedestrian, motor vehicle hazard. The residents who live in the abutting property which has an address in Medford. They have a challange entering safely onto the street which is in Somerville cannot do so without a serious compromise.

6-Month Somerville Ave. Detour (Between Dane St. and the Somerville Ave./Washington St. Intersection) Begins Tuesday, February 19

As part of the next phase of the Somerville Ave. Utility & Streetscape Improvements Project, City contractors will set up a large work zone in Union Square on or around February 19 that will require some through-traffic to be rerouted. JANUARY REVENUE COLLECTIONS ARE BELOW WHAT WAS EXPECTED

Massachusetts Department of Revenue Commissioner Christopher Harding announced that preliminary revenue collections for January totaled $2.79 billion, which is $195 million or 6.5 percent below the hoped-for benchmark and $180 million or 6.1 percent less than the final collections in January 2018. The Pension Reserves Investment Management (PRIM) Board’s Investment Committee met to discuss why the state pension fund’s balance dropped by $4.5 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018.
