Dear Billy T and Somerville Speakup Line,
You’re absolutely on the correct trail here Billy because the administration is trying vigorously to cover up this Somerville Police Department Compensation and Overtime Scandal that you exposed so no more bad information and bad press comes out on the mayor and the chief’s wrongdoings and coverups keeping it all from the public eye.
City Hall and Internal Affairs has the file regarding Lieutenant Gerad Rymill stealing comp time. (public information records request)
No discipline handed down Except that a letter of reprimand was placed in his personnel file. The reason was because the City did not want the negative press and/or publicity of a Detective Lieutenant getting disciplined for stealing comp time.
The city, along with Somerville Police Deputy Paul Trant, investigated the incident not INTERNAL AFFAIRS, and Det. Lt. Gerard Rymill admitted his guilt. He ended up paying the time back however he was minus in the time bank or “On Duty” schedule (internal PD tracking system that keeps accurate records of comp time, vacation time, personal days, etc)
Where to find the information is as follows;
Public information records request
SPD Internal affairs Division headed by Lieutenant Michael Kennelly.
City Hall Human Resources/ Personnel Department headed by Candice Cooper
Retired Deputy Paul Trant
Request a copy of the “On Duty” schedule which would corroborate the stolen comp time ….
They meaning the City/SPD are going to stonewall you but be diligent and you will find the information that you’re looking for………
To any of the concerned citizens of Somerville that want to get to the bottom of this please don’t just sit on your hands and wait for Billy to do it all because we’re all in this together. People must call and request this information listed above to request it from this information listed below for the same. It’s our city so let’s help Billy T take it back and get the truth revealed.
