Should Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone get a free pass on this alleged coverup or should she be charged with a crime of providing alcohol to minors and falsifying a police report?
It has been over 8 months or 36 weeks or 236 days and still counting since the South Middlesex Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone hosted her infamous underaged drinkfest that took place last June at her home in Somerville located on Monroe Street.
During that party hosted by Curtatone, a stabbing and an assault also occurred on that Thursday night of June 21st, 2018, and we still haven’t heard anymore updates on it from the Somerville Police Department nor the City of Somerville.
According to witnesses who attended the event that since have come forward are now stating that the police officer who at that time was present at the Curtatone event on a paid police detail who didn’t write a police report after allegations that he himself was possibly intoxicated are being contradicted by new witnesses stating that the police officer may have never showed up for his detail at all.
That Somerville Police officer has since recently been arrested in Wilmington for an unconnected domestic dispute that took place at his home last month who is now in a rehabilitation program.
Residents are now concerned that Registrar Curtatone’s spring time party fiasco where dozens of underage Somerville students caused a riot after becoming intoxicated by alcohol allegedly provided by the registrar is conveniently being swept under the rug.
There has been no word regarding a suspect who stabbed a victim and who is still at large nor any news regarding the stabbing victim nor another victim who suffered a concussion at the party that spilled out to the lawn of the Prospect Hill Tower and turned into a bloody brawl with over a hundred fighting teenagers.
According to multiple witnesses at the scene the party lasted into the early morning hours of that Friday morning resulting in an early morning stabbing with multiple blue lights flashing, screaming teens, teams of police units frantically searching the scene for suspects with barking K-9 dogs.
Witnesses at the scene reported dozens of State and local police were called in with K-9 units at about 12:59AM to break up the party of screaming out of control teens with music blaring that involved over two hundred out of control party-going intoxicated youths.
Registrar Maria Curtatone was not available for comment since that night of the stabbing nor were any Somerville Police report updates available revealing the circumstances of events regarding the party or medical condition status of the two victim’s.
It is still questionable right now if Middlesex Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone will be charged for providing any alcohol to the teens especially where Snapchat and cellphone videos have surfaced revealing alcohol may have been provided by Curtatone or if she will be facing any charges.
Witnesses have come forward stating that Mayor Joe Curtatone and Registrar Maria Curtatone have allegedly arranged an undisclosed financial settlement amount deal with the two victims to not come forward and disappear.
It is alleged that one of the victims may have been one of the mayor’s former Somerville High School football player students who received financial compensation to not come forward and let the case quietly go away.
Registrar Maria Curtatone is the sister to Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone who’s police department is conducting the investigation.
This story is still developing while the Somerville Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances that led to the stabbing and assault that evening.
The public’s help is needed to find the suspect who still remains unidentified and still at large.
InInformation is also being sought of any witnesses who were present at the party who may of witnessed any underage alcohol consumption or details of what may have taken place that evening.
Any cellphone photos or videos from the party are welcome.

Inquiries have been made to the Massachusetts Inspector General’s Office who investigates municipal fraud where here a paid Somerville Police detail was allegedly paid out by the City of Somerville to the police officer who claimed he was at the detail.
Attorney General’s Office, the Middlesex district Attorney Miriam Ryan’s office, Somerville Chief David Fallon as well as the Office of William Galvin Secretary of State are being asked if they will take any action against Registrar Maria Curtatone for the alleged crime.
The penalty for whoever intentionally and knowingly makes or causes to be made a false report of a crime to police officers shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred nor more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in a jail or house of correction for not more than one year, or both.
