Somerville’s New Citywide Speed Limit 25 MPH

Starting today, the speed limit in Somerville is 25 mph (unless otherwise posted). Thanks to recently passed State legislation, cities and towns can opt to decrease speed limits to 25 mph (Somerville’s citywide speed limit had previously been 30 mph) and 20 mph in safety zones.
