WHO: Spartan Race is the number one obstacle course race company in the world. WHAT: Boston-based Spartan Race will take over Fenway Park this Veterans Day Weekend Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.
Fenway will be home to thousands of Bostonians ready to experience the world’s leading obstacle race company at the Green Monster and pay tribute to those who have served. With 3 plus miles of course and more than 20 obstacles to conquer, the Reebok Spartan Sprint will test the mental and physical strength of racers of all ages.
There will be a tribute to Special Ops Survivors whose mission is to embrace and empower the Surviving Spouses of Special Operations personnel who have been killed in action or in training since January 1, 1980. With hundreds of survivors across 37 states currently in their service population, Special Ops Survivors is proud to be the only nonprofit organization in the country that directly serves Gold Star Spouses from all branches of our nation’s armed forces.
Two Gold Star Spouses, Tricia Simmons and Emily Munoz, will be in attendance and available to media. Tricia Simmons’ son will be running in his father’s memory.
