Updated: Breaking News: Large Police Presence/Alleged Body Parts Found in Somerville
Update:
The remains are those believed to be of a Somerville man who was brutally murdered and who’s body was dismembered and parts places in suitcases and garbage bags then later disposed of behind a Norwood school last month.
Two Somerville men were arrested for those alleged murders and are awaiting trial.
Original story:
On Sunday morning Massachusetts State and Somerville Police positioned officers underneath the School Street Bridge in Somerville while their conducting an investigation regarding alleged body parts that have been discovered.
The entire area is closed off and surrounded with police crime scene tape.
Police aren’t saying much, but we will keep you up to posted as we learn more.

Breaking News: 3 Alarm Fire Hancock St Somerville
Somerville firefighters responded to a three alarm working fire located at 121 Hancock Street in Somerville.
The fire is in a two1/2 story wooden frame home with heavey fire showing.
Fire had spread to house on Lexington Ave but fortunately everyone had gotten out with no injuries.
FIrefighters ordered to stay off the rear porches of the original fire building.

Breaking News: Stabbing at Autozone in Somerville
Rolls of police crime tape surround AutoZone parking lot that’s located on McGrath highway in Somerville after a person was stabbed there on Thursday afternoon.
A white vehicle, the center of focus is surrounded with police crime-scene tape while police finger print and search the vehicle.
Police are not saying much but this is still an ongoing crime scene while police conduct their investigation.

Delivery Truck Takes Down Two Utility Poles and Causes Partial Black Out in Somerville
On Monday afternoon a delivery truck owned by A Duie PYLY was traveling on Packard Avenue in Somerville when it hit a utility guide wire causing two utility light poles and a transformer to collapse.
Over sixty Somerville homes lost power and it also caused massive traffic tie up with a very dangerous situation.
Somerville Police and Somerville Firefighters blocked off the street from end to end where the polls were down to prevent any bystanders from getting electrocuted.
NStar arrived on scene to stabilize the wires and restore power to the neighborhood homes that were affected.

The City has ended negotiations with Tufts University on their proposed project for redeveloping the former Powder House School site due to Tuft’s inability to meet the project timeline. At this public meeting, which was originally scheduled to review the Tufts proposal, we will discuss this new development in the process along with next steps for moving forward with an alternate project. Date: Wednesday, March 26th, 2014, 6:30 pm.
