Morash Arrest

On 20 March, 2014 at 5:01 PM I was assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division. I was dispatched to the Home Depot on Mystic Avenue for a shoplifter. When
we arrived, we were met by loss prevention personnel. Loss prevention personnel advised us that while monitoring the security system they observed Michael Morash, the defendant in this case, remove a price sticker from 2″ threaded stem caster with brake ($14.07 plus tax) and attach it to a Dewalt 20 volt Combo Pack. The Combo Pack is valued at $239.00. Morash paid $14.95 at the register then exited the store. Morash was placed under arrest.
