On Tuesday, March 18th, the Metro Mayor’s Coalition (MMC), a group made up of leaders from thirteen communities in Greater Boston met together.
It is a voluntary forum where members exchange information and create solutions to common problems.
The coalition met to discuss revisiting the fiscal partnership between the Commonwealth and Cities and Towns throughout the State.
The MMC has become an effective vehicle to address common issues confronting urban core governments and has made significant strides in overcoming the obstacles that hampered past attempts at inter-local cooperation.
The Coalition’s success demonstrates the tangible benefits achieved through collective action.
