Live your life true to who you are – not who you want people to think you are.
They say karma always comes back to bite you in the ass – and I think they’re
right. I have never been screwed over by someone who made it big and stayed there. It’s just not in the nature of a bad person to make anything of themselves in the end. Not even certain people in my own family – those asshats wouldn’t know how to keep things together if they bathed in Super Glue.
Just recently, I had the pleasure of watching a truly awful person finally, after a lifetime of acting a fool, get their comeuppance and pay the piper for their misdeeds. What a tool, who now has plenty of time to contemplate what he did, and what he will do when he is released back into society someday.
Then you have those people who move in certain circles – politics, business and low-rent illegal activities – who all, in the end, get what’s coming to them. It’s almost like nature’s way of thinning the heard and that’s a good thing. You can be an evil person and change your ways, but don’t ever expect to outrun your race with destiny – it’s an evil mistress that always catches up to her prey.
They say that ignorance breeds arrogance – my personal experience is that they walk hand-in-hand in most cases, and that’s the rub – that’s what causes the unraveling of these people’s lives. In the rarest of cases, and with a moderate amount of luck, an idiot can have a moment of clarity and get their stuff together, and that’s always a good thing. The only problem is, if you change, then stay changed.
Don’t look back is the message here…treat people how you want to be treated and you won’t have a reason to navigate life cautiously. It’s a great feeling and I highly recommend it. #GMK
