On September 14th, 2015, I, Officer Goncalves, was in full uniform and assigned to area East 4. At approximately 1:29 a.m., Officer Cicerone, who was also in full uniform and assigned to area East 1, was notified by a citizen that there was a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Medford St. and Pearl St. Officer Cicerone notified dispatch and we both responded to this location. SOA’s 2nd Annual Candlelight Memorial Vigil 9/15
It’s been a year since we held our first candlelight memorial vigil for those who we have lost to drug overdoses. Sadly, the number of deaths attributed to accidental overdose continues to rise. The state reports that 1,300 people died from drug overdoses in 2014, and many believe that that number is still low.
