All-American City Championship Celebration  

  

To celebrate Somerville’s All-America City Awards win, we are throwing a party on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Baxter Park in Assembly Row. Come by for music – including performances by some of our All-America team members – and other fun community activities. In keeping with the award’s theme this year of supporting boys and young men, this celebration will kick off several months of activities and programs geared toward engaging and empowering young people. Fire on Greenville St Somerville

   
  

At 1150 a.m. on Thursday, September 24th, the Somerville Fire Department responded to a fire at 9 Greenville Street. Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving the contents of a construction dumpster located in the driveway. Heat from the fire resulted in considerable damage to the exterior of the three family home.
