Somerville Eviction Moratorium Extended One Last Time Until June 30

At their meeting on April 21, the Somerville Board of Health voted to extend the City’s eviction moratorium another two months and ultimately sunset the moratorium on June 30.

The Somerville eviction moratorium is the last remaining municipal eviction moratorium in the state. It is one strategy the City has used to help keep residents in their homes during the pandemic, but it’s not the only one. Other forms of help are available, and as the Mayor announced recently, additional housing assistance programs are coming soon.
