SOMERVILLE – Former Somerville Police Officer Michael McGrath admitted to sufficient facts in Cambridge District Court to the charge of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon in connection with deploying pepper spray on an individual who was in custody and who posed no threat to him.

22021345: Somerville PD is attempting to identify the two pictured men who robbed an individual of his moped in the area of Broadway & Franklin St on 4/20/22 at approximately 3:42PM. The suspects were operating a moped together and followed the victim to his home. Suspect 1 then approached the victim, pointed a gun at him and stole his moped while Suspect 2 fled on the other moped. Both suspects traveled east in the direction of Charlestown.
