On Sunday, May 15, 2022, I, Officer David Ruf, was in full-uniform and assigned to marked cruiser East-1, for the Somerville Police Department. At approximately 12:16 A.M., Officer P. Canty (East-4) and I were dispatched to the area of Artisan Way and Grand Union Blvd for a drunk male. The Senate approved and sent to the House a bill that would require research labs to take reasonable steps to offer healthy animals up for adoption rather than euthanizing them when the research is done. The orphan disease center at the University of Pennsylvania medical center will again be matching the first $30,000 the MSUD Family Support Group raises to fund a research project for a cure for MSUD.
