Affordable housing: This year the Somerville Affordable Housing Trust will distribute $1.2 million in funding to projects that create, preserve and support affordable housing in the city. Local residents, businesses and organizations are invited submit proposals, and the application deadline is May 24.

Fair housing: The Somerville Fair Housing Commission, which works to prevent housing discrimination, has a vacancy. It needs to be filled by someone who works at or serves on the board of a Somerville community based organization. Applications are due on May 11.
