Collier Strong Fundraiser

Close to one year later after the 2013 Boston Marathon, please join Team Collier Strong back on Boylston Street for fare, beer and fun!

On Wednesday, April 9th, we’ll be at Lir 903 Boyston Street Boston, from 7-10pm- raising money to contribute to the Sean A. Collier Self Sponsor Scholarship. In addition to the raffle, we’re asking for a $2…0 donation at the door – and will have Collier Strong t-shirts and Collier/Boston Strong headbands for sale!

All proceeds from the door will go directly to Sean’s scholarship, while all proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will be donated in support of Firefighter Michael Kennedy and Lt. Edward Walsh. Last Spring, Ladder 15 and Engine 33 of the Boylston Street firehouse honored Sean. Today, Team Collier Strong honors them as they mourn the loss of their brothers.

Sean’s scholarship was established by the MIT police to honor Sean by sending one officer a year to the Lowell Police Academy in his honor. As a “self sponsor” attendee of the academy, Sean paid his way through school with no guarantee that he’d have a police job waiting for him when he finished. This scholarship will help an aspiring officer who, like Sean, is sponsoring his or her own way through training.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
