Somerville Recreation Department News



The Somerville Recreation Department announces that the Somerville Youth Football and Cheer Program has been invited to play in the newly formed Commonwealth Youth Football Conference (CYFC). The CYFC is affiliated with American Youth Football, which is a “Grade Based, Age Protected” youth football league.

We are proud to be able the offer every child in our community an equal opportunity to play youth football and cheer. CYFC Communities include Melrose, Medford, Charlestown, SOMERVILLE and Stoneham

This is East Somerville

Thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Somerville Arts Council and East Somerville Main Streets have teamed up to put on a series of monthly block parties. Next Thursday, April 17, will be the first block party. Stop by Chuckie Harris park from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to enjoy music, art, and playing at the park.
