I have to make neighbors aware in the city especially wards 5 and 6. In the absence of our elected officials doing something for the community other than running around trying to elect others to office. I guess they forgot all politics is local?

Being an owner of a ring system I have been getting numerous notices of thefts of yard furniture, bicycles, packages and people checking doors, windows and other areas of peoples homes. My finding a car today on Albion Street that had all four wheels removed and left on cinder blocks.

Sadly this will cost the vehicles owner time and money. I strongly urge residents to pay attention in their neighborhood since there is a growing theft problem. In many cases it is someone familiar with activity of people in their own neighborhood. So do not discount that idea when you something that looks suspicious or an Incident occurs call the Police and report it so it is documented.

This was an issue in years past but seemed to stop. Its my guess a lot of newcomers who do not think there is are theft issues in such a great city. Welcome it happen and is happening lock your doors, windows, bikes do not leave things in your cars visible and install motion lights on your property along with a camera to catch these losers.

Residents contact your elected officials and make them aware of the crime that’s occurring in your neighborhood so they will be aware of the problem and hopefully get of their asses and do something.
