Celebrate Pride month in Somerville with an LGBTQ+ dance party. The event is free and open to all!
SOMERVILLE – The Somerville Arts Council and the Department of Health and Human Services present the Big Gay Dance Party! In celebration of Pride Month 2019, this third annual ArtsUnion will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., in Union Square Plaza. The event features music by LUNAMARIPOSA, who will be spinning a variety of songs throughout the evening, and drag performances by Amanda Playwith and Severity Stone. The event is free and open to all ages. In addition to dancing there will be tabling by local community organizations that serve the LGBTQ+ community.
The Somerville High School Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will be selling Queerville pride t-shirts designed by students to fundraise for next year’s club activities. You can buy one at the festival for $20 (cash only). Please join us for this exciting event as we celebrate pride month and the LGBTQ+ individuals in our community.
