At approximately 6:00 P.M., I observed a red Honda Accord bearing Massachusetts registration XXXX fail to stop at a red light at the intersection of Beacon Street and Washington Street (public ways in the city of Somerville). On 04/30/2019 at around 2131 hours, while in full uniform and assigned to marked unit East 2, was dispatched to 701 Somerville Ave (Cumberland Farms) for a suspicious person, but then the call was updated for the same suspicious person starting a fire. Jones and Officer Devin Schneider received the Irish American Police Officers Association, Investigative Award at their 20th Annual Awards dinner held last evening in Malden.
