Middlesex Federal’s Pledge to Match Toy Donations Results in More Than 500 Toys for Toys for Tots

Somerville, MA December 20, 2017 – For more than twenty years, Middlesex Federal has collected toys for the Toys for Tots program.   Middlesex Federal again pledged to match toy donations made at all three of its locations.

Eight members of the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Charles River West Area Office, located across from the Bank’s Davis Square office brought their toy donations to Middlesex Federal.  “Each year, our staff purchases and donates toys to the Toys for Tots program. Last year, we learned that our donation would be doubled if we brought them to Middlesex Federal, so we didn’t hesitate to bring them there.  More toys for more children, what could be better?” stated J. Michelle Lund, Assistant Area Director, DDS.

This year, Middlesex Federal more than doubled the number of toys collected.  Bank employees shopped at Toys R Us to purchase the additional toys and delivered more than 500 toys to the Kiwanis Christmas Marines Toys for Tots event held on December 14th at the Mt Vernon Restaurant.
