Somerville High School moves on to High School Quiz Show Quarterfinals on WGBH This Saturday

Somerville High School has moved on to the quarterfinal round to compete against Hingham High School on WGBH’s High School Quiz Show this week. Somerville defeated Acton-Boxborough High School in the first round on February 25 with a final score of 630 to 330.

Helping children of trauma have some comfort in their time of need by providing them with homemade blankets. Help us reach our goal of 200 blankets. Knitted, crochet or handmade fleece accepted. John R. Doncaster, a lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away surrounded by his devoted family at home on Saturday, April 01, 2017, he was 76. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late John R. and Doris (Johnston) Doncaster-Walsh. A graduate of Somerville High School with the Class of 1958, John proudly served in the US Army and was a research specialist with the Polaroid Corp, retiring with over 30 years of service.
