Somerville High School Girls Track Results

On Saturday April 19th we took a few girls to compete at the Nashua North Invitational in Nashua NH. First event for the girls was the Freshman Sophmore mile run where Sophmore Amber Theobald ran a 5:54 and
Freshman Alice Egar ran a personal best of 5:57. Ambers time earned her a 6th place finish in that event. Later in the day, junior Catherine Nakato ran the mile for the first time and just missed breaking 6 minutes with a 6:00 time. In the 100m were had Samantha Simon run 14.42 and Saragrace Magre ran 64.32 in the 400m. In the field Events newcomer Alyssa Hachey competed in the Javelin placing 8th with a throw of 81’7″, Alison Kaba competed in the Shot Put throwing 30’9″ and the threw 92’7″ in the Discus which placed 5th. Saragrace jumperd 33’8 in the Triple Jump and then came back to jump 14’1″ in the Long Jump. Samantha Simon also competed in the Triple Jump and a personal best of 29′ 4″.
