Meet this week’s “Special Person of the Week:Ernest Nadile

Somerville Police Officer Detective Ernest Nadile retired from the Somerville Police Department in 2017.

He joined the Somerville Police Department in 1982 and has had an award winning super productive very respectable 35 year career as a Somerville Police Officer. He served as a Somerville Police Detective for 15 of the 34 years as well as serving in the United States Army.

Ernest Nadile has been doing the cooking at charity breakfasts for 22 years for various charitable organizations. This past Sunday, he was cooking as the head chef for a large crowd of people at the new George Dilboy VFW Post #529 for fellow veterans.

On 4/30/2019 he will be volunteering his services again at the GEORGE DILBOY VFW POST #529 & LADIES AUXILIARY:DINING FOR A CAUSE event.

These days he spends his time taking care of his grandchildren!

Our hats are off to his true Somerville spirit!

  1. And a great job he did…Not one complaint. As well as the other cooks Dolly and Lori. Next breakfast is in September..look for notices.

  3. Ernie is a good man and was a great detective. He has supported Veterans programs and the Dilboy Post in particular for as long as I’ve know him.
