Beatrice I. (Callahan) Bergstrom was a very nice lady who will be sadly missed here in Somerville by her many friends and relatives in the city.

Beatrice I. (Callahan) Bergstrom, 81, currently of Dracut, MA, formerly of Hull, MA, and notably Lexington, MA, where she resided most of her life, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 27, 2018 in her home while surrounded by her children. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Bergstrom.
Beatrice was born in Chelsea, on March 29, 1937, a daughter of the late Beatrice I. (Smith) Callahan and the late John J. Callahan. She was the only girl with 6 brothers.
Beatrice was a devout religious woman who proudly served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and in that capacity, she spent much of her time teaching and helping others. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her indoor plants (despite her fear of worms). Beatrice was artistic and very musically inclined. She often sang and played piano for others. Beatrice could make a friend anywhere. She loved her children and spending time with family.
Beatrice will be survived by her five children, Ronald G. Bergstrom and his wife Cheryl of New Hampshire, Janice L. Bergstrom of Oxford, MA, Steven J. Bergstrom and his wife Barbie of Dracut, MA, Jane I. (Bergstrom) Stanichuk and her husband Jimmy of Medford, MA, Brenda Bergstrom of Groton, MA, two brothers Martin Callahan and wife Marjorie of Tyngsboro, MA, and Michael Callahan of Las Vegas, NV, her eight grandchildren, and her 14 great-grandchildren.
