Hi Billy,
Thank you so much for inviting us and for the lovely note. . . . .Please thank the organizers at the American Legion and the Wounded Warrior Project for inviting us. . . . Also, please tell them that the band that they hired was really fantastic and contributed so much to people having fun and enjoying themselves.
We met a lot of great, genuine people last night, and I was pleasantly surprised with the response that I got from so many people about my brief talk about the Greek film I’m working on — from hugs to coming over and thanking me for working on a project about breaking the cycle of violence and hate.
Many people told me their personal stories, which was so touching. A woman came up to Arthur and me earlier in the evening to tell us how much she loved the “Wahlburgers” TV show and how much she loved Arthur’s Mom, Alma. Then she went on to reveal that her only son had died two weeks before and how she came to the event to meet Arthur because she thought it would lift her spirits. It did. Arthur made her laugh, we talked to her for a long time, and took photos. It was all very moving.
So thank you for that and for letting us be part of such important charity organizations and their good work for the community.
Best wishes, Jennifer
