Judith A. (Mahan) Oliva was a wonderful person who will be sadly missed here in Somerville.
Mrs. Judith A. (Mahan) Oliva, age 73, of Saugus died on Wednesday, September 22nd at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a courageous battle with emphysema. She was the wife of the late George Baletsa.
Born in Somerville, Mrs. Baletsa Oliva was the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Silva) Mahan. She had worked as an administrator for the M.W.R.A. in Winthrop.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Christina (Baletsa) Roffman and her fiancé Billy Pezzulo of Saugus; four grandchildren, Adam, Bailey, Brandon and Chase; one sister, Gale Mahan-Furtado and her husband Norman of Somerville; daughter-in-law, Linda (Frazier) Baletsa; brother-in-law, Mike Malizia; as well as many sices and nephews. She was predeceased by her son George W. Baletsa Jr., two brothers, David and Robert Mahan and one sister, Susan Malizia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Monday from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 a.m.
