This past Thursday at about 3:30PM, Somerville Police units responded to a report of windows being shot out at Cataldo Ambulance Service on a second floor window facing the Washington Street. Somerville Marisa Tauro Walk to Support Homeless Veterans Attracts more than 150 Participants and Raises Nearly $8,000

Proceeds given to VOAMASS at September 5th breakfast event hosted by Renee’s Café

Somerville (September 5, 2021) – Having raised nearly $8,000 from the inaugural Marissa Tuaro Annual Walk for Homeless Veterans on August 9th, proceeds from the fundraiser were presented to Volunteers of America of Massachusetts (VOAMASS) at Renee’s Café during a breakfast celebration. VOAMASS, a nonprofit that creates opportunities for individuals through residential and outpatient behavioral health treatment, re-entry for justice-involved individuals, veteran services and senior living, has operated the MA Bay Veterans Center located on North St since 2012.
