When it comes to snowstorms and how the city handles them, over the years, we have openly railed against the current mayor because his administration would treat every single snow storm as if it was “snowmageddon” – the overkill was utterly ridiculous, especially when there ended up being very little of it.

Arthur Moore It’s definitely time for a change. The mayor wanted a walk and bike only city. The war on cars has been apparent for the last 10 years. Ward 4 is building apartment buildings that will not provide parking. They expect that everyone who rents there will use a bike or take the bus. Handicap parking snow removal should take priority over bike lanes. During the last storm the city piled the snow at the corner of Fairfax and North St blocking the sidewalk and blocked the handicapped spot access. Somerville leads the way again with longtime Somerville resident Margaret Klessens being the first VA patient in the nation to receive the new Covid19 vaccine!

Margaret Klessens, a former Bartlett Street Somerville resident who now is a resident of the Community Living Center in the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford made headlines around the world last Monday. Margaret now 96 years old and a World War II veteran made history being the first VA patient in the country to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
