Somerville/Medford Remembering Anne I. (Page) McLean

Obituary
Anne I. (Page) McLean – Of Ipswich, formerly of Somerville, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was 63 years young.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Anne was the beloved daughter of Lynne (Seaboyer) Page and the late Thomas Page.

Anne was known for her kind heart, caring nature, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Of all the roles she held throughout her life, being a mother was the one she cherished most. She took great pride in raising her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and especially her beloved grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life.

While Anne worked many jobs to support her family, she found the most fulfillment during her time as a crossing guard for Arlington Public Schools. She genuinely enjoyed seeing the children each day, including her own, and took pride in helping keep them safe. Her warm smile and friendly presence brightened the mornings of countless families in her community.

A firm believer in what she affectionately called “Lazy Saturdays,” Anne treasured the simple pleasures of life. These days were often spent watching movies or tending to her home, grocery shopping, and enjoying the comfort of being surrounded by family. She was an exceptional cook who loved gathering family and friends around her table. Nothing made her happier than preparing a delicious meal and sharing it with those she loved.

When she wasn’t busy at home, Anne loved being outdoors and enjoying nature. She loved to be at the beach, but her true happy place was being up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Despite countless trips up and down the Kancamagus Highway, she never ceased to be in awe of how lucky we were to live so close to such a breathtaking place. She looked forward to annual trips to Lincoln, New Hampshire every summer, where she would get to combine the two things she loved most — family and the beauty of the world around her.

Beloved wife of the late John McLean. Devoted mother of Kaitlyn McLean, Kristyn McLean, Sean McLean and the late Kourtney McLean whom she missed daily following her passing in August of 2025. Loving grandmother of Kyleigh, Kierra, Connor, Shaylyn, Payton and Emilia. Dear sister of Thomas Page, Joshua Page, Lisa DeAngelis and the late Kevin Page. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, June 12th in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 6:30PM.

Interment will be private.
