Somerville/Medford Remembering Thomas E. Connolly

Obituary
Thomas E. Connolly, of Somerville, passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2026, he was 65. Born December 9, 1960 at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, Tom was the son of the late Simonne (LaVallee) and Michael Joseph Connolly, Jr.- United States Air Force.

He grew up in Somerville, playing hockey with all of his brothers, as a forward while his brother Paul played goalie. If a fight broke out on the ice, Tom would always be there to protect his brother. Tom moved to Florida for a few years before returning home to start his own landscaping and construction business. With his strong work ethic, Tom’s clients became close friends over the years. Tom loved his family and was always protective of them, he had a close bond with his brother Paul and his nephew, Christopher J. Hutchinson and enjoyed time spent together. He loved his cat, Hoppy. Always upbeat and hopeful for the future, despite a few health setbacks, he worked hard to get back on his feet. He enjoyed nothing more than being outside, taking long drives and time spent at the beach. He was a great role model for his nephews growing up, teaching them fishing, swimming and how to protect themselves. He would have been a great Dad to his own children.

Tom had a big heart and would protect and help anyone, he loved people and was just the guy you wanted by your side. His family never doubted him for a minute, reminded how he worked so hard for those he loved. His family loved him and will always think of and miss him.
