Julia A. (Tarpey) DiPasquale was a wonderful person who will be sadly missed here in Somerville.
JULIA’S OBITUARY:
DiPasquale, Julia A. (Tarpey) – 75, A lifelong resident of Somerville passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2020.
She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. DiPasquale.
Daughter of the late Margaret (Bowe) and John M. Tarpey.
Cherished mother of Patricia A. DiPasquale of Somerville, Pamela A. DiPasquale and her husband Daniel Bracken of Lakewood, Ohio, Julie M. Jasper and her husband Robert of Billerica, Maryanne DiPasquale of New York, NY, and Karen E. DiPasquale of Arlington.
Dear sister of John Tarpey of Florida, Eileen Bakey of Medford, Michael Tarpey of Cambridge and the late Matthew Tarpey.
Loving grandmother of Brier and Baird Bracken and Hope Johnson.
Calling Hours was held at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday.
A Funeral Mass was held on Friday morning in St. Clement Church, 64 Warner St., Somerville at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Procession and Graveside Service in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
Julia was very active in the Somerville Community. She was a retired employee for the City, who worked as assistant to former Mayor Dorothy Kelly Gay and later in the Treasurer’s Department at City Hall. She was a former PTA President at Powder House School as well as a School Committee Member. She also served St. Clement Parish as a Eucharistic Minister and was the former Director of Religious Education.
